Last night after posting the blog update, I finished spinning the blue night owl batt and then plied the blue singles and yellow singles together. Here they are separately as a reminder:
I wasn't sure how they would look plied together and although I knew it would be an interesting and textured yarn, I didn't think I would like the colour / effect it would produce. Thankfully, I was wrong - I wasn't a big fan of the yellow/green/ orange singles, but added with the blue, it turned out fantastic!
I've called the yarn "Orange Flecks"

Oooooh...that is so awesome. How do you spin? Could you write a tutorial? This looks like something I would be into... I love knitting and crochet but I know nothing of making yarn. Where do you get the stuff to make yarn? This looks way better than factory made yarn! Love it.

Hi The Girl in the Pink Dress, Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. There are plenty of tutorials online for spinning. For these yarns I used my spinning wheel, but you can also use things called Drop Spindles. Just google "How to spin wool" and I'm sure you'll find something.
